Truck #2600 is a Tender that contains both 3500 gallons of water and foam and is equipped with a dumping station (or water containment) that allows the truck to empty its cargo and return to a nearby water source to be refilled by onboard pumps that refill the truck very quickly. The truck’s ability to carry a huge amount of water, and a dumping station, allows other trucks on the scene to draw from a continuous water source that otherwise would not be able available in some rural areas. This truck is a 2009 Freightliner and was purchased with a Fema Grant. .
This unit used in technical rescue. It is designed to transport and provide the specialized equipment necessary for such rescue. It carries an array of special equipment such as the jaws of life, wooden cribbing, generators and other forms of heavy equipment unavailable on standard trucks.
Specially equipped to sustain life and treat critical injuries while medical technicians (EMS) are in route to the scene. Fire department personnel will be trained to handle such injuries and will be more knowledgeable on how to use the equipment that is transported.
2019 Freightliner known as a “Large Brush Truck” and is sometimes referred to as Wildland Truck, Grass Truck, Urban Interface Truck, Attack Truck, and Booster Truck.
It features four-wheel drive capability making it suitable for rough terrain and they can pump water while driving, whereas most, but not all traditional engines must be put into park to flow water. This pump-and-roll feature allows the engines to make "running attacks" on vegetation fires minimizing the rate of spread.
